Heatwave Show Band from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley is an award winning group of professional young musicians.  Members come from schools throughout the Coachella Valley, some with several years of experience looking to hone their craft, and some with little or no experience.  The band has developed a wide repertoire of music from 40s big band through to current pop.  Whether the gig calls for background music for your dinner or cocktail party,  music to dance to, or a floor show, Heatwave can provide just the right blend of music for your entertainment needs. We’ve got horn driven R&B funk charts by current acts like Bruno Mars or classics like Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Tower of Power.  We do it all!

In addition to being a professional working band with all the real world experience that provides, the members also have the opportunity to go on tour, and record in some of the country’s best studios, as well as meet and learn from professional musicians in all different genres, from world renowned artists to the wide variety of working and retired musicians from our local community.

The band survives on a budget from the Boys & Girls Clubs and rounds out its educational and touring budget with stipends from performances and donations from individual donors. Donations are gratefully accepted here.  Everything is Free for the Kids!

The band accepts musicians aged 12-22, by audition, as openings become available.
